There are so many ways and method of installing hardwood flooring. These are all self doable methods. Let’s discuss and learn these different real hardwood flooring installation techniques below.

One method is called floating hardwood floor installation. What happens here is that you put all the planks together and the lay them down altogether on the floor. Make sure that you leave some room on the edges for expansion. Next, you cover up the edges by using skirting which will also create a clean, good finish.

You also have the staple down hardwood installation. It is also called as tack down wood floor installation. Among the installation techniques, this is not popularly used because there is no expansion and movement necessary. What is done here is they nail down the boards into the sub floor. But this is easily, hands down, the simplest and easiest way to install hardwood floor.

Stick-down hardwood floor installation is another technique you can choose. This installation is unique since it needs specifically special techniques and measured materials. In this technique you basically need to glue down the boards to the sub floor. It is simple like the staple down installation because there is no need to use skirting. A good thing about this type of installation is that it creates a reduction to the noise created when you walk upon the floor since there are layers created when you do the installation.

Hardwood flooring is not a high maintenance flooring. You just need to have regular maintenance and cleaning so that you will be able to enjoy your flooring for a longer period of time. It is important that you really set aside a time for cleaning and maintenance.

These are the simple methods of installing hardwood flooring. All of the three techniques are easy to do which you can finish before the end of a day.
